Hello there!  I’m Amanda and I’m one half of the Jayneses for whom this blog was named.  This was originally created (out of laziness) to be a place where we could document all of our misadventures to share with our friends & family spread across the US.   But since I’m an only-child who loves to talk about whatever to whomever will listen this blog has evolved (devolved?) into a place where I can share my thoughts, meet new people, and practice not sounding like a doofus when I write (I’m currently working on writing shorter sentences and using less parentheses.  It’s a process.)

I’m terrible at bios because I always try too hard to be quirky or cute and it usually falls flat.  So here are the basics… I’m 26 years old and I live in Los Angeles; I think it’s a lovely place and you will frequently hear me talk about how awesome it is, despite the traffic.  I am currently working toward my Master’s degree in Marital & Family Therapy and I am passionate about helping people (myself included) live lives that are rich and fulfilling and whole.  Sometimes I write about that stuff: you can read those posts here.  I really like to cook and if you're into that kind of thing you can check out some recipes here.  I am a Christian who is saved by Grace; thank God, because I struggle with my faith a whole lot.

I am married to the other half of the Jayneses for whom this blog was named.  His name is Tyler and the most important thing about him is that he’s 6’9”.  Just kidding about that being the most important part (though he really is that tall); the most important thing you should know about Tyler is that his love for Jesus manifests itself into a complete and contagious joy.  He is the most wonderful person in the world to be around and I still feel amazed that I get to spend every day of my life with him.  You can read more sappy stuff here

My favorite part about blogging has definitely been the people I've met, so don’t hesitate to say hi and leave a link to your site- I’d love to meet you too!
