I'm really excited to share details about our magnificent east coast vacation, but before I do there's a little thing that people have been asking about that I should address.

the detox.

Really there's not much to say.  Our friend Matt (who is a dang healthy guy and suggested trying the detox in the first place) put it this way:

"the Retox was better than the detox."

I agree wholeheartedly.  The smoothies were pretty nasty.  I never felt hungry (Tyler did), but I also never felt satisfied.  Sure, I had more energy during lunch than when I would eat a massive bowl of cheese ravioli, but I can achieve that same energy level by opting for a that hasn't been pureed.

In conclusion, I'm still a skeptic.  I'm sure it was great for my body to be consuming a vegan, vitamin-packed diet for three days, but did I feel drastically different? No. Did I feel like my body had been "purged of all toxins?" Definitely not.  Did I feel like my "hormones had been reset?" Um. I'm pretty sure that's not even a thing.

The best part of the whole thing was the bacon, eggs and mimosas that happened on day 4.

Have you ever detoxed? What was your experience?

Hello, Los Angeles.
