Restaurant Review- Kazoku Sushi

Monday, August 13, 2012

Saturday night Ty and I set out to find some good (and reasonably priced) sushi.  We've been to quite a few sushi bars around LA, but none of them really provided a happy coupling of fresh fish and decent prices.   Then we discovered this little gem...

Kazoku Sushi

Strangely, we found it in the heart of Little Armenia in the middle of a Thai strip mall (I guess that's LA for you!) Not only was their food amazing, their happy hour prices were unbeatable.

Most of their simple rolls were under $4 until 7 PM on Saturday and sushi is under $3!  Desserts and drinks were also included on the happy hour menu.

If you do decide to check it out, I would advise to not bother with the appetizers.  The Gyoza and Edimame were only so-so, and your money would be better spent on more fish!  The service is super fast and everyone there is extremely nice.  The parking is a bit of a hassle but it is totally worth it.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

  1. I would go back to Kazoku Sushi in a heartbeat. It is a great place to go for a quiet evening out, but can also accommodate a large group. Great job Kazoku Sushi!
